Service & diagnostic fees. A diagnostic fee applies to each service appointment and covers the technician’s visit and evaluation. Stacked or combination washer/dryer units and built-in (wall) ovens carry a $150 diagnostic fee for a single technician, or $170 when two technicians are required, because these units require additional disassembly and handling to access.
Estimates. After the on-site diagnostic, we provide a written estimate documenting the problem and the parts required. If a repair requires a part order, the deposit is applied to the completed repair with no additional trip charges. If a repair is canceled after a part has been ordered, the deposit may be non-refundable and subject to a restocking charge.
Estimates for rental and tenant-occupied properties. When the paying customer is not present at the time of service on a rental or tenant-occupied property, FiXiFY releases the repair estimate only after the diagnostic invoice has been paid in full.
Parts and installation. Parts quoted by FiXiFY are priced for installation by a FiXiFY technician. FiXiFY does not warrant and is not responsible for parts installed by the customer or by any third party not employed by FiXiFY (including friends, relatives, or other contractors). Self- or third-party installation voids any related warranty.
Phone and text policy. FiXiFY provides appliance repair, not phone or text consulting. Diagnostic findings and required parts are documented in your written estimate and invoice; technical questions are answered on-site during your appointment. We use phone and text for scheduling, estimate approval, and payment.
Payment. Invoices are due upon job completion. Outstanding invoices must be paid within two weeks of the service date unless other arrangements have been made. A $25 fee applies to each returned check.
Warranty. All labor performed by FiXiFY is covered by a 6-month warranty. Standard replacement parts — such as relays, fans, motors, capacitors, and similar low-cost components — carry a 3-month courtesy warranty, as FiXiFY is not the manufacturer of these parts. Cleaning services are excluded from the warranty. During the applicable warranty period, for malfunctions under normal use, we will schedule a service call within 48 hours of notice (excluding Sundays and holidays).
Satisfaction guarantee. Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are not satisfied with the service we provided, please contact us and we will work to make it right. If we are unable to resolve the issue, FiXiFY will refund the cost of the service performed.
Liability. FiXiFY is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or consequential damages, including food spoilage, water damage, improper electrical connections, or other utility-related issues.
