Dacor is American-born luxury cooking — now part of Samsung — and at Dacor prices, repair is almost always the right call. For more than six years, FiXiFY has repaired Dacor ranges, wall ovens, cooktops and refrigerators in homes across the Denver Metro area. We’re based at a storefront in Denver.

Whether a Dacor dual-fuel oven won’t heat, a burner won’t light, or a built-in refrigerator has gone warm, we’ll diagnose the cause and get it running again — and since modern Dacor shares Samsung’s platform, parts and diagnostics are well within our wheelhouse.

COMMON DACOR PROBLEMS — WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN

Pulled from Dacor’s service documentation (modern Dacor shares Samsung’s platform) plus our shop’s experience — the faults customers actually run into across Dacor ranges, ovens, cooktops and refrigerators. We diagnose and repair these; we don’t recommend DIY on professional gas equipment.

FLAME

Range — burner won’t light / oven won’t heat

You’ll notice: a burner clicks but won’t light, or the oven won’t come up to temperature.

What it means: on Dacor ranges this usually traces to a fouled spark electrode, a worn igniter switch, a clogged burner port, or — on the oven side — a weak igniter or bake element and the ignition module.

Common on Dacor dual-fuel and gas professional ranges (DOP / HGPR series).

→ Needs professional service — book FiXiFY.

HEAT

Wall oven — won’t heat / wrong temperature

You’ll notice: the oven won’t reach temperature, takes far too long, or shows an error.

What it means: on Dacor wall ovens, no-heat usually traces to a failed bake or broil element, the oven temperature sensor reading out of range, or a relay on the control board.

Common on Dacor single and double wall ovens.

→ Needs professional service — book FiXiFY.

SPARK

Cooktop — won’t spark / induction won’t detect

You’ll notice: a gas burner keeps clicking without lighting, or an induction zone won’t recognise the pan.

What it means: on gas Dacor cooktops it’s usually the spark electrode, igniter switch or a clogged port; on induction it’s a faulty coil, the pan-detect sensor, or the zone’s control board.

Common on Dacor gas and induction cooktops.

→ Needs professional service — book FiXiFY.

WARM

Refrigerator — not cooling

You’ll notice: the Dacor fridge or freezer is warmer than its setting and the temperature climbs.

What it means: a warm Dacor usually traces to a stalled evaporator fan, a defrost fault, a thermistor reading wrong, or a sealed-system problem — diagnosed with the Samsung-platform tools.

Common on Dacor column and built-in refrigerators.

→ Needs professional service — book FiXiFY.

REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR DACOR?

With Dacor, repair is almost always the answer — a new Dacor range or built-in refrigerator runs well into the thousands, while most faults are a single component. These are professional machines built to be serviced. And if a Dacor genuinely isn’t worth fixing, we’ll tell you straight. That’s the FiXiFY way — we fix things instead of telling you to throw them away.

Can you repair a Dacor appliance that’s out of warranty?
Yes — we repair Dacor appliances whether or not they are still under manufacturer warranty, including older American-made Dacor models.
How long does a Dacor repair usually take?
