Gaggenau is the ultra-premium end of German kitchen design — built-in ovens, steam ovens, Vario cooktops and refrigeration, usually integrated flush into custom cabinetry. As part of the BSH group it shares engineering with Bosch and Thermador, which we service every week.

For more than six years, FiXiFY has repaired high-end built-in appliances across the Denver Metro area. We work from a storefront in Denver, diagnose Gaggenau from its own service documentation and the BSH platform it shares, and fit genuine OEM parts.

COMMON GAGGENAU PROBLEMS — WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN

E15

Dishwasher — E15 (AquaStop flood protection)

You’ll notice: the dishwasher stops and won’t drain, you may hear the pump running, and the panel shows E15.

What it means: per Gaggenau’s dishwasher codes, E15 means water has collected in the base pan and tripped the AquaStop float — flood protection is engaged. It’s usually a small internal leak, a saturated base, or a failed pump seal rather than the control itself.

Gaggenau fully integrated dishwashers (DF series).

E24 / E25

Dishwasher — E24 / E25 won’t drain

You’ll notice: dirty water sits in the bottom and the cycle won’t advance.

What it means: Gaggenau’s drainage codes: E24 is a blocked or kinked waste hose, E25 a blocked or failed drain pump. Often it’s a clogged filter or pump impeller — but the same codes appear when the pump itself fails.

Gaggenau dishwashers (BSH drain platform).

E305

Oven — overheat shutdown (E003 / E305)

You’ll notice: the oven shuts itself down and flashes an E-code; the cavity feels very hot.

What it means: per Gaggenau’s oven manuals, E003, E303, E115 and E215 all signal the same thing — the appliance ran too hot and shut down for safety. Usual causes are a failed cooling fan (E318), a stuck door lock during self-clean, or a temperature-sensor or relay fault.

INDUCTION

Cooktop — Vario induction zone won’t hold

You’ll notice: a Vario induction zone heats then drops out, or won’t detect a pan.

What it means: induction cut-outs usually trace to an overheated power module (cooling fan or thermal sensor), a failed coil, or unsuitable cookware. On Vario modular cooktops a single dead zone points to that module.

Gaggenau Vario and full-surface induction cooktops.

REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR GAGGENAU?

With Gaggenau, repair is essentially always the answer — these are among the most expensive built-in appliances on the market, usually integrated into custom cabinetry, while most faults are a single serviceable part: a pump, a fan, a sensor or a control relay. Replacing one often means re-working the kitchen. And if a Gaggenau genuinely isn’t worth fixing, we’ll tell you straight — that’s the FiXiFY way.
