Hobart is the backbone of American commercial kitchens — warewashing (AM Select door machines, undercounters and conveyors), planetary mixers, slicers and booster heaters built to last decades. On the newer dishwashers, an error card and on-board codes make diagnosis quick.

For more than six years, FiXiFY has repaired commercial kitchen equipment across the Denver Metro area. We work from a storefront in Denver, diagnose Hobart from its own service data, and fit genuine OEM parts — because a dish machine or mixer down stalls the whole line.

COMMON HOBART PROBLEMS — WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN

E0–E4

Dishwasher — fill faults (E0 / E2 / E3 / E4)

You’ll notice: the machine won’t run and shows an E-code; the tank isn’t filling or filling high enough.

What it means: on Hobart AM Select dishwashers these E-codes mean a fill problem — a closed or low water supply, a clogged fill line, a fill-valve fault, or a temperature/level probe with scale on it that needs cleaning or replacing.

AH

Dishwasher — AH (booster heater circuit)

You’ll notice: dishes come out under-sanitized and the panel shows AH.

What it means: AH flags the booster-heater circuit — usually a dirty or failed booster temperature sensor, or the booster heater itself, so the machine never reaches the 180°F sanitizing rinse.

P3

Dishwasher — P3 (rinse temperature)

You’ll notice: the cycle finishes but a P3 shows; the final rinse never hit temperature.

What it means: P3 appears during the rinse when the machine can’t reach proper rinse temperature — typically a booster-heater or sensor issue, low incoming water temperature, or scale on the heating element.

MIXER

Mixer — won’t start or won’t change speed

You’ll notice: a planetary mixer hums but won’t turn, won’t shift gears, or the bowl lift sticks.

What it means: common on Hobart mixers: a worn gearbox or broken-down grease, a failed speed/shift mechanism, a bad interlock or switch, or a bowl-lift fault. These are rebuildable — Hobart mixers are built to be serviced, not replaced.

REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR HOBART?

With Hobart, repair is almost always the answer — a commercial dish machine, mixer or slicer is a serious investment built to be rebuilt, not thrown away. Most faults are a single part: a fill valve, a booster sensor, a contactor, a gearbox or a switch. A 20-year-old Hobart mixer is often worth more rebuilt than a new lesser brand. And if a unit genuinely isn’t worth fixing, we’ll tell you straight — that’s the FiXiFY way.

HOBART REPAIR FAQ

Our Hobart dish machine won’t sanitize — can you fix the rinse temperature?
Yes — a low or failed final rinse (the AH and P3 codes) is one of our most common Hobart calls. We service the booster heater, the sensors and the rinse system so the machine hits the 180°F sanitizing rinse your health inspector checks.
Do you rebuild Hobart mixers, or just swap parts?
Both — Hobart planetary mixers are built to be rebuilt. We replace worn gears, switches and bowl-lift parts and re-grease the gearbox, which is almost always cheaper than a new commercial mixer.
Are Hobart parts available in Denver?
We fit genuine OEM Hobart parts — common warewashing and mixer parts are stocked for same or next-day repair, with specialty parts typically 3–5 business days.
Do you come to us?
Yes — we repair Hobart equipment on-site at your kitchen across the Denver Metro area, with a shop in Denver for parts.
