Your Jenn-Air appliance is built to last — and almost always worth repairing instead of replacing. For more than six years, FiXiFY has repaired Jenn-Air ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers in homes and businesses across the Denver Metro area. We’re based at a storefront in Denver.
Jenn-Air is the luxury cooking line of the Whirlpool family, so it shares much of its control electronics and fault-code system with Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Maytag — which means we know these machines inside out. Whether your Jenn-Air downdraft cooktop won’t ignite or your built-in refrigerator has stopped cooling, we’ll diagnose the cause and get it running again.

COMMON JENN-AIR PROBLEMS & ERROR CODES — WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN
Pulled from Jenn-Air’s own service manuals (and the shared Whirlpool-family fault-code system) plus our shop’s hands-on experience — the faults customers actually run into across Jenn-Air refrigerators, ranges, cooktops and dishwashers, explained accurately. We diagnose and repair these; we don’t recommend DIY.
Refrigerator — not cooling / running warm
You’ll notice: the fridge or freezer is warmer than the setting, food isn’t keeping, and the compartment temperature climbs.
What it means: per Jenn-Air’s refrigerator service manual, a warm Jenn-Air fridge usually traces to a failed thermistor (temperature sensor reading open or shorted in the diagnostic test), a defrost fault icing the evaporator, a stalled evaporator or condenser fan, or a sealed-system problem — which we narrow down in Jenn-Air’s service diagnostic mode.
Common on Jenn-Air built-in, column and French-door refrigerators.

Oven — won’t heat / wrong temperature
You’ll notice: the oven won’t reach temperature, takes far too long to preheat, or shows an F-code on the display.
What it means: on Jenn-Air ranges and wall ovens, no-heat or an F-code (the shared Whirlpool-family oven codes, such as F2 for over-temperature) usually points to a failed bake or broil element, a faulty oven temperature sensor (RTD), an igniter or gas valve on gas models, or a relay on the control board.
Applies to Jenn-Air pro-style ranges and wall ovens.

Cooktop — burner won’t heat / downdraft fault
You’ll notice: a gas burner won’t light or keeps clicking, an induction zone flashes an error and won’t recognise the pan, or the downdraft vent won’t run.
What it means: on Jenn-Air cooktops this usually points to a failed spark igniter or igniter switch (gas), a faulty induction coil or control board (induction), or a downdraft blower motor or its switch — Jenn-Air’s signature downdraft is a common service point.
Applies to Jenn-Air gas, electric, induction and downdraft cooktops.

Dishwasher — won’t drain
You’ll notice: the cycle ends with water still standing in the bottom of the tub, or a status light blinks and the cycle won’t run.
What it means: on Jenn-Air dishwashers (which use the Whirlpool-family control), standing water is usually a clogged filter or drain pump, a blocked or kinked drain hose, or a check-valve fault; a no-start usually traces to the door latch or a tripped thermal fuse on the control.
Common on Jenn-Air built-in and panel-ready dishwashers.

REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR JENN-AIR?
A good rule of thumb: if your Jenn-Air is under about ten years old and the repair costs less than half of a comparable new unit, repairing is almost always the better value — Jenn-Air is a high-end line where a new range or built-in fridge runs into the thousands, parts are available through the Whirlpool family, and most faults are a single component. And if your Jenn-Air genuinely isn’t worth fixing, we’ll tell you straight. That’s the FiXiFY way — we fix things instead of telling you to throw them away.
