You’ll notice: production is down and the Prodigy shows a Code 1.
What it means: per Scotsman, Code 1 is a long freeze cycle — caused by a water shortage, a non-working water pump, a high room temperature, a dirty condenser, or a low refrigerant charge.

Cuber — Code 2 (long harvest)
You’ll notice: ice won’t release cleanly; the code flashes (retrying) or goes solid (locked out).
What it means: Code 2 means harvest ran longer than about 3.5 minutes — most often because the machine hasn’t been cleaned with Scotsman cleaner, or a harvest-assist or hot-gas valve issue.

Cuber — Code 3 no water / Code 4 high discharge
You’ll notice: the machine stops with a 3 or 4 code.
What it means: Code 3 means no water was sensed — usually a plugged water filter or a fill valve that didn’t open; Code 4 is high discharge temperature — typically condenser air re-circulation or a low refrigerant charge.

You’ll notice: the machine repeatedly trips a short-cycle code; cubes are thin.
What it means: Code 8 means harvest triggered too early several times — most often a dirty ice-thickness sensor (slime, debris or calcium) giving false readings, which a clean and descale resolves.
