Thermador is professional kitchen equipment — the brand that invented the built-in wall oven and the Star burner — and at Thermador prices, repair is almost always the right call. For more than six years, FiXiFY has repaired Thermador ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers in homes across the Denver Metro area. We’re based at a storefront in Denver and we work from Thermador’s own service documentation.
Whether a Thermador Star burner won’t light, the oven won’t heat, or a Freedom induction zone won’t detect a pan, we’ll diagnose the cause and get it running again. Thermador shares its parent (BSH) with Bosch and Gaggenau — we service the whole family.

COMMON THERMADOR PROBLEMS — WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN
Pulled from Thermador’s own service documentation plus our shop’s hands-on experience — the faults customers actually run into across Thermador ranges, cooktops, ovens and dishwashers, explained accurately. We diagnose and repair these; we don’t recommend DIY on professional gas equipment.
Range — Star burner won’t light
You’ll notice: a Star burner clicks but won’t light, lights then drops out, or one burner is dead while the others work.
What it means: per Thermador’s range service data, this is usually a fouled or cracked spark electrode, a worn igniter switch, a clogged Star-burner port or cap, or a fault in the universal spark module that fires the igniters.
Common on Thermador Pro Harmony and Pro Grand gas and dual-fuel ranges (PRG / PRD series).

Cooktop — induction zone won’t heat
You’ll notice: a Freedom induction zone flashes, beeps, or won’t recognise the pan, or it cuts out partway through cooking.
What it means: on Thermador induction cooktops this usually traces to a faulty induction coil, the pan-detection sensor, an overheated power board (often from blocked cooling vents), or the control electronics for that zone.
Common on Thermador Freedom and Masterpiece induction cooktops.
→ Needs professional service — book FiXiFY.
Wall oven — won’t heat / wrong temperature
You’ll notice: the oven won’t reach temperature, takes far too long to preheat, or shows an error on the display.
What it means: on Thermador wall ovens, no-heat or bad temperature usually traces to a failed bake or broil element, the oven temperature sensor reading out of range, or a relay on the control board that switches the elements.
Common on Thermador Masterpiece and Professional wall ovens (PO / MED series).
→ Needs professional service — book FiXiFY.
Dishwasher — won’t drain
You’ll notice: the cycle ends with water standing in the bottom of the tub and dishes that aren’t clean.
What it means: on Thermador dishwashers (which share Bosch’s platform), water left in the tub usually points to a clogged filter or sump, a blocked drain hose, or a jammed or failing drain pump.
Common on Thermador Star-Sapphire and Emerald dishwashers.
→ Needs professional service — book FiXiFY.
REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR THERMADOR?
With Thermador, repair is almost always the answer — a new Thermador range or induction cooktop runs well into the thousands, while most faults are a single component (a spark module, an induction coil, a control board). These are professional machines engineered to be serviced. And if a Thermador genuinely isn’t worth fixing, we’ll tell you straight. That’s the FiXiFY way — we fix things instead of telling you to throw them away.
